Something to share

I need a minute to vent(ish)...
A few days ago I made a decision. Jake and I will adopt all of our children and tomorrow I will make an appointment to get my tubes tied (Okay fine, not really). Why? Because I have finally figured out that birth/pregnancy is not the beautiful magical bringing into the world a new life that people have lied to me about for the past twenty years of my life. I have been to baby showers where mothers tell their horrifying stories of pregnancy and child birth they have experienced. I don't understand why moms do this. I understand that it's not always the most comfortable experience in my life I will experience, but swaying my opinion beforehand is not going to make it any easier. Do you really truly think that telling another female that is probably already scared and nervous is going to feel any better when you tell her these graphic, disgusting painful details? Yeah... that's what I thought. Shame on you! Shame shame... TLC is good at reaffirming my "Adoption Only" theory as well. Have you ever seen the show I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant? The words "The pain was so bad I wanted to die" frequents the script. I also like it when people tell me "Enjoy your body now, because it will never be the same after you have your first kid!" or "Yeah, I was sick for 9 months straight!" Then, it's about  my marriage. "Yeah, you and your husband will not be the way you are now once you have a baby!" Again, thanks for the encouragement.

However...

On that note, Jake and I have a little big announcement that we would like to make to all of our family and friends!

We have only been married for three weeks (today)...

So please. Stop asking when we're having a baby. As described above, it doesn't look too appealing to me at the moment.

Don't get the wrong idea, I think babies are great and all and it will happen, but not yet.

Definitely. Not. Yet.

Payback

Last night after my husband so lovelingly gave me a back massage that put my so close to sleep, he went to do the dishes. I am so lucky that he does dishes because I cook dinner! Anyways... he wakes me up from my light sleep to let me know that the sink was not working. We've been having some minor electrical and plumbing problems so I thought "Great... We'll call HRI (the company we rent from) in the morning and just leave the rest of the dishes in the sink." On the other hand, I thought this might be a trick. But gave him the benefit of the doubt and got up to see if I could figure out the problem. As I turned on the water, I was given a shower by the nozzle attached. Thanks babe. How sweet of you. Well, I am not opposed to revenge. The video is a little shaky because I was laughing so hard! without any further ado here is Jacob Lloyd...

Our first place

Jake and I have officially moved into our first new place. After two stuffed carts at Target and one at Bed, Bath and Beyond, everything is finally put away. Keep in mind when looking at these pictures, the Aloha couches and outdated paintings on the walls came with the place.

I discovered it is so much easier to create a menu for the week. It also helps when I go grocery shopping to know exactly what we need.

Jake was given the privilege of choosing the shower curtain. He said he didn't care which one but after I insisted that he really did care, he chose this one. Good choice.

Here is the "ceremonious" candle lighting. Jake wanted to light it so bad but I made him wait until everything was done. I told him that we were in our own little TLC show and they always do things like that last. So it was only natural that we wait, too... Right?

Week and a half down...

Jake and I have been married for about a week and a half now. The honeymoon was awesome and I am so sad that we couldn't bring the villa from Scottsdale with us... *sigh* I would have to say the one of my favorite conversations that we had during the wedding, reception, honeymoon, and openhouse was actually on the plane ride home to Hawaii.

We have this game... which probably isn't very typical. If we had the chance to date a celebrity who would it be?

After a long and very entertaining or annoying conversation for the people around us, we finally decided that we could have Rachel Mcadams and Christian Bale. He didn't approve if Paul Walker or Ryan Reynolds and his answers were just ridiculous (none were Megan Fox thank goodness). I think we were both rather happy with our final decisions.

Blogging

For all of you out there that know how to blog properly... I applaud you. I have just spent the last hour and a half trying to crop a picture into a banner. Not as easy as I thought. I even downloaded a photo editing program and could not for the life of me figure out how to use all those weird angles and lines and circles and stuff. So in conclusion. I need to watch an online tutorial or something on how to do this thing if I'm going to become a cute little wife that blogs. Maybe I'll just ask Jake to do it...
