In my family, we don't really do a whole lot for Valentine's Day. I would go to school and kids would tell about all the stuff they got for the holiday.
Whaaa...?
This year, I came home from class and Jake had cleaned the apartment, and got me chocolate and a couple roses.
Aawh!
That afternoon, we went to a wedding reception/ring ceremony, and then headed to town to run some errands.
On the way back, we stopped in Kaneohe and saw The Vow. I thought it was really cute, but sad that it was actually a true story.
Now I feel guilty. I never knew you were missing that as a child and remembering that way as an adult! I guess there's worse disappointing childhood memories than that.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Mom! I didn't miss it. I really didn't think Valentine's Day was a big deal. I thought it was kinda weird that some other kids got stuff. Don't feel guilty.
