Jake came to visit me in Arizona for Memorial Day weekend. Monday night, I took him to the airport and dropped him at the curb (which was his request). It made me a little sad, but he said he didn't want a long goodbye. That night, I went to bed and couldn't wait to see him again at the end of June. Tuesday morning, I went to work, texted him throughout the day, and then made my daily afternoon call on the way home. He asked me how much longer until I would be home and I told him that it was about 10 more minutes. He tried to get off the phone but I was very adamant that he continue to talk to me while I finished my drive. I hung up as I pulled into the driveway and noticed a white envelope on the door with my name on it. It was a scavenger hunt! I followed the hunt around my house, and was very suspicious... looking in closets, watching my back, etc. I watched the DVD that he made me and was told that my last clue was underneath the DVD player. It was a gift card to Malee's Thai Cuisine. I love Thai food and that is what we did on our first date. He told me that since he wasn't there, my sisters were going to take me. I thought about going another night because I really wanted to go to the gym but Diana was already planning on picking me up. We all went to dinner, and when I came home I opened the front door to find a path of rose petals and candles leading out to my backward which was decorated with flowers, tiki torches and twinkly lights. =) He did his shpeal of talking and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! When we came back inside, my family and some close friends were there to greet me. He did a very good job and I am so happy!
