Online Shopping.

Jake thinks I'm crazy for doing this, but tonight I made the very first purchase for our future kiddos.

Tangled.

I remember going to buy a Disney movie once and the girl at the store told me that Disney only sells their movies for a short time then put them in the "vault" and you must wait for it to come back again. And of course, the prices are way jacked up. I know that you can still rent it for now, but what happens when in 5 years I want my kids to see it and it has been "locked away"? Now I don't know the rules, but I chose to error on the side of caution.

So, tonight I ordere Tangled online and had it shipped to my parents house (oh yeah hey mom, watch out for that. And let me know when it comes in? Thanks.) so we don't have to pack it up to be sent home.

I have a feeling that it will be opened long before any kiddos arrive or are planned to arrive. Meaning I can't wait to watch it again!

Jake was doing the dishes tonight and listening to Mary Poppins, (don't look at me!) and came into our bedroom - ahem - bed area and said...

"No one can replace Mom, but Julie Andrews come damn close!"

Awh... what a thoughtful statement!

Laie Lake.

Recently we have had a lot of rain.

A lot a lot.

On Friday, most of the town flooded, including our yard. We were lucky enough that the hard rain stopped just as it would have flooded our apartment.

There was an e-mail sent out that classes were cancelled "at the discretion of your professor".

Of course I got an e-mail from my professor 10 minutes before class started and I was already waded my way to the school.

NO class today.

Begin building your ark!!!!

See you in class on Monday.

Campus Road

GCB computer lab. The floor is usually blue carpet.

Road to our apartment building.

This is after the water actually went down. This is a big field of grass in front of campus.

This picture is taken from our door. That water is the overflow of the irrigation river. You usually can't even see the river water and here it has way overflown!

This is what we woke up to Friday morning! I really wish you could see how hard the raining is falling.

Rock Climbers

Over Christmas break, Jake and I went to a rock climbing gym with my big sis, Di, and little bro-ski, Scotty. It was really fun and I could not believe how wussy my forearms were! After just a few climbs I could not hold onto the wall anymore and could barely make it halfway up.

Scuba Steve

Jake recently got his scuba certification and went out on a dive at Shark's Cove. Here is the footage by my very own Scuba Steve.

Birthday Man.

This year for Jake's birthday we went shark diving with a group of people. We have been wanting to go for a while and so we made it his birthday celebration. That night we went to Dave and Buster's with some friends where we played games and had dinner.

Please ignore the half of my butt cheek... my computer wouldn't let me crop it.
Seriously.

Our group at 6am.
For birthdays we have also started a new tradition here at the Lyle-Hansen residence. The birthday-er gets to choose dinner for their entire birthday week. So for that week we had Jake's favorites.
